As manager of Environmental, Health, Safety and Claims for Hallen Environmental Services, LLC., Mr. Buhrendorf is responsible for the coordination, management and maintenance of the company wide safety, health and environmental programs. His duties also include the investigation and analysis of all insurance claims. He coordinates and interfaces all insurance coverage and claims with the affiliated carriers. Mr. Buhrendorf is and has been responsible for the training of the 200 member workforce. Training includes but is not limited to: 40 Hour Hazardous Waste Site Worker, 8 Hour HazMat Refreshers, Competent Person for Trenching and Excavation, First Aid/CPR, FMCSA Driver Education, Respiratory Protection, Hazard Communication, Fire Prevention, Blood Borne Pathogens and Confined Space Entry and Rescue.
He developed, implemented and maintains a comprehensive New Employee Orientation Process that has been in place since 1994. Mr. Buhrendorf is also responsible for work site inspections, ensuring maintenance of work and public safety within relevant regulations. In addition, he administers the company’s drug and alcohol testing programs.

Mr. Buhrendorf has more than 17 years of experience in the risk management and safety field.
He was recognized by the Distribution Contractors Association
as the 2001 National Safety Director of the Year.
